Homeworld
is in a category few games get to be in...EPIC. Homeworld is one of those games
that when it came out, redefined the genre it was in.
The first thing that catches your eye in Homeworld is the cut scenes, they rock...but
then to your surprise the cut scene becomes the game! FANTASTIC! The first time
I played it I could hardly believe it.
The maps are large and very well made, the Motherships are kinda
blocky, but the smaller ships have great detail.
One of the coolest features in Homeworld is the way you can
control ships, I found it quite intuitive. Being able to zoom in and out either
single ships or groupings makes controlling combat engagements a real treat.
The soundtrack in Homeworld is superb, all the effects are so
well done, it really immerses you into the game.
Multiplayer (the stuff that matters):
Homeworld's multiplayer
capabilities are the standard fare, with playing against AI, humans or both.
Unfortunatley there is no multiplayer co-op through the campaign. But that aside
the graphics are so cool, and the game play so different that we'll let the
no multiplayer co-op slide.
